Fair Acres Federation Governing Body
On 1st January 2021, Faldingworth Primary School and Normanby-by-Spital Primary School joined together under the Fair Acres Federation. The governing body is a group of volunteers from a range of backgrounds within the local community who are passionate about children’s education and who want to make a real difference to the school. Our objective is to provide a strategic view, which means deciding, in partnership with the school’s Senior Leadership Team, what the school needs to achieve and agreeing the framework for getting there. We do this by offering advice and support to the Headteacher to ensure that the school continues to raise its standards of achievement, delivers the school’s priorities and secures value for money. School governing bodies are a combination of appointed, elected and co-opted governors. Our school governing body is made up of:
2 Parents
1 person appointed by the LEA
1 Member of staff
5 Co-opted Governors
1 Head (unless he or she chooses not to be a governor)

The Clerk to Governors is Mrs Katy Senyszyn.
The school office holds an up-to-date register of governor interests. Declarations of interest are updated as part of all meeting minutes.
The Governing Body has two sub-committees - a finance committee and a pay committee. These are made up as follows:
Finance Committee - Graham Dawson (Chair), Peter Beveridge, Sue Pottinger, Kerri Grummell and Daniel Bryden
Pay Committee - Peter Beveridge, Daniel Bryden and Sue Pottinger (Chair).
The Full Governing Body ratifies decisions following recommendation from the committees/panel above (unless otherwise stated in School Policy/Terms of Reference/Scheme of Delegation), and approved minutes are available in the school office with the exception of confidential minutes.
